MOTORIZED TONGS FOR SLABS
Motorized tong for the handling of blooms or slabs. It can be equipped with 2 or 4 couples of arms and it grips single or piled slabs. The opening and closing operations/procedures are made by a hoist unit, the lifting clamp becomes mechanic and self-pressing according to the lifted weight. Carried out in special, fatigue resisting, antiager steel and for uses at high operating temperatures. Manufactured for intensive iron metallurgical duty. Capacities up to 120 tons. The tong may be equipped with rotating head/slewing device.
