In einer mir nicht näher bekannten amerikanischen Highschool-Sitcom beschloß der in solchen Serien immer auftretende Losertyp, an seinem Image zu arbeiten. Als ersten Schritt legte er sich eine blaugetönte Halbbrille zu. Als er so in die Schule kam, begegnete er einem Freund, und es entspann sich folgender amüsanter Dialog:

- So what do you think of my new glasses?
- Hey, they're really cool! You look like JohnLennon!
- John who?
- Oh, never mind. A popstar from the seventies.

Johns Tod macht immer noch betroffen. Es ist so ein alltäglicher Irrwitz, dass in den USA jeder Waffen kaufen kann. Man kann Wahnsinn sicher nicht verhindern. Aber man kann die Chance vermindern, dass Wahnsinnige Waffen in die Hand bekommen.
John Lennon sthet für viele namenlose Opfer - eine ständige Anklage gegen die NRA (National Rifles Association, die Organisation der Schießwütigen in den USA, mit der Macht, die bei uns der ADAC hat)
