Die neue Single ist streng genommen das »perfekte« Lied. Gewagt und experimentierfreudig, aber nicht zusehr, melancholisch, aber nicht zu extrem. Das wird bestimmt ein Superhit, aber ob es auch auf Dauer nicht langweilig wird?

Blur sind für mich eine Säule meines Lebens. Manchmal muß mich auf sie stützen. Und dann halten sie mich.

Unter eher unglücklich zu nennenden Umständen lernte ich einmal einen schizothymen Hobbymusiker und Studenten der Kunstwissenschaft kennen, den ich aufgrund seines Haarschnitts und der insular käsigen Gesichtsfarbe 'Blur' nannte, wobei ich dieses Wort stets mit einer während der Aussprache des 'l' aus dem Mund klappenden und dort verweilenden Zunge aussprach, was von den anderen Anstaltsinsassen mit Dankbarkeit aufgegriffen wurde, besagten durchaus sympathischen Jungirren jedoch nicht davon abhielt, eines Nachts zu meiner großen Überraschung in mein Bett zu kriechen, wo er es dann auch etliche Minuten lang ausgehalten hat.
